Understanding Grief

Grief is often misunderstood. Join us to gain insight into grief’s complexities, whether you’re grieving or supporting someone who is. Our classes, inspired by Dr. Alan D. Wolfelt’s ‘Understanding Your Grief,’ foster a safe space for learning, with no obligations to speak or participate actively. We assemble on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m., and participation is free of charge. Enhance your understanding and find communal support with us.

Healing Stitches

Yarn-crafting, like knitting and crocheting, offers solace during grief, with its soothing textures, colors, and rhythmic motions known for their calming effects. Joining together amplifies this relief, as shared compassion helps alleviate feelings of isolation. ‘Healing Stitches’ is a welcoming space to bond and create comforting items for the community. Whether you’re a beginner or have an ongoing project, we gather every Wednesday, 1-3 p.m. at the Community Grief Center.
