Support Groups For Youth

Understanding Silent Sorrows

Experiencing the loss of a loved one at a young age casts a profound shadow on a child’s life, often leading them to feel isolated and misunderstood. Many hide their emotions, trying to protect their family or lacking peers with similar experiences. Unaddressed, this deep grief can lead to significant challenges, from academic struggles to behavioral issues. Offering understanding and support to these grieving youngsters is vital, not only for their immediate well-being but for their future resilience and health.
Guiding Young Hearts

The TREK Program for Healing Young Hearts

Our TREK program offers a caring embrace to grieving children and teens (ages 5 to 18). Here, they find understanding and guidance to navigate their grief, alongside peers who share similar feelings and experiences. As they journey together, genuine friendships and bonds emerge, often lasting well beyond the duration of the program.

TREK

Middle School

Middle school is a time of significant change. We connect peers with similar experiences and emotions.

Through art, games, and activities, we offer gentle pathways for tweens to express themselves.

In this supportive environment, they can explore emotions alongside their peers.

TREK

High School

High schoolers are no longer children, but they are not yet adults either. We connect similarly grieving peers.

Facilitated conversations and thought-provoking exercises help teens relate to each other.

In this supportive environment, they can form new friendships with those who are also grieving someone they love.

TREK

Caregivers

Just as you are told by flight attendants to put your oxygen mask on before helping your child, bereaved caregivers must face their own grief in order to effectively help with their grief journey.

We guide caregivers over eight weeks, aligning with youth topics, to understand grief’s family impact and regain post-loss balance.
